A few days ago, we had the pleasure of introducing you to four of our new campus ambassadors. Today, Phroogal has even better news. We have hired two new student ambassadors who we believe can help us spread our word of financial literacy and Phroogal, but also help us gain more ground in Vermont and establish our mission in Chicago!
School: University of Chicago
My name is Mike Maseda and I am currently a third year economics major at the University of Chicago. I am also a member of the fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta and a running back on the varsity football team. I hope to work in the financial sector, make my way into private equity and ultimately manage a company of my own.
As an economics major I see a different side to money and products than the usual public. Instead of focusing on how much money or how many of a certain product can be produced we take a look at what makes people most happy and ways to minimize cost through efficiency. I think it is important for people to stop comparing themselves to others financially so that they can focus on how to fulfill their own needs and do what makes them happy.
Phroogal is the future of personal finance. People of all socioeconomic backgrounds will begin to take their own financial responsibilities and stop having others making decisions about how their money should be spent. Individuals from college students to older adults looking to retire, they will ultimately buy in to improving their financial literacy to improve their lives and the lives of their loved ones.
School: Norwich University
Major: Political Science
Steven is a 21-year-old senior at Norwich University, the oldest private military college in the U.S. He will graduate in May with a degree in Political Science. Through his experiences in the class room and in a lifestyle encompassed by military ideals he has learned the value of staying organized and capitalizing on opportunities. After speaking with Jason for the first time, Steven was hooked! He quickly understood the potential for Phroogal and more importantly, the value it has for him and the millennial generation.
Steven is from a small town in Connecticut where there are more cows than people. He is the third oldest child in a family of five girls and one boy. Having grown up in a large family, finances were always tight. It is this experience that has driven him to become as financially stable as possible. Having grown up in a small town, Steven is ready to get out. His life goal: to travel as much as possible and have as many experiences possible. However, to do this, he will have to be financially savvy, that is where Phroogal comes in.
We are extremely excited to have these two motivated young guys on board and expecting big things from both. Stay tuned, you will be hearing from them soon!
